Boundless Imagination

What no Christmas card today you ask?  Time for a change…that’s not to say you won’t see any more yet this year…

Our hostess, Becky, has asked us to use SU! So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede for the Splitcoast color challenge.  And as an option for dessert to use newsprint, text, a script embossing folder or such. And this is also for the ongoing 200th CAS challenge party at Splitcoast…this particular challenge is to feature balloons.

My card base is a standard 4.25″ x 5.5″ in SU! Baja Breeze.  It’s been very lightly stamped with an Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card background stamp, again in Baja Breeze.  The clouds have been made with an MFT die and some MFT felt.  The sun is a piece of white card stock that’s been sponged with SU! So Saffron and then cut out with a 1″ circle punch.

My hot air balloons were made by adhering several different Tim Holtz tissue tapes to a scrap of card stock, and then cutting them out with two different Memory Box dies.  Each one was first inked with Rusty Hinge Distress Stain and then all the edges sponged with SU! Soft Suede.  The hot air balloons are popped up on dimensionals to add some depth.

And finally, the sentiment was stamped in SU! Soft Suede.

Here’s what I used:
Paper:  SU! Baja Breeze, Georgia Pacific White and scrap card stock
Ink:  SU! So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede
Stamps:  Tim Holtz Stuff to Say and Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card Clouds
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Hot Air Balloon and Mini Hot Air Balloon Memory Box dies, MFT Die-namics Cloud Trio die,  Tim Holtz Tissue Tape in Commute and Symphony, Impression Obsession Mega Mount, Rusty Hinge Distress Stain, MFT Felt in Puff Cloud White, sponges, Jody boosters, Tombow Mono Multi, 1″ circle punch

So glad you joined me today…hope you’re having a wonderful week!
