Glitzy Poinsettia

It’s time for a party!  We’re celebrating the upcoming 200th CAS Challenge over at Splitcoast with a lot of fun challenges!

It’s doubly fun for me as I was named to the CAS Winter Design Team this week. Lucky me!   I’m looking so forward to playing along each and every week!

Our first challenge for the party…Glitz and Glam…who doesn’t love dressing up for a party?  I brought one of my best papers from Kanban…just wish you could see this gorgeous paper in person!

The poinsettia is made with the Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettias die.  The center is made from the same textured gold paper as the two strips.  Each layer of the poinsettia has been popped up on dimensionals and I shaped each of the leaves with my fingers.

A simple sentiment from Verve and done!  Yes, you’ll see this particular sentiment from Verve on a lot of my cards.  I love the size and font of this stamp!

The background has been dry embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  There is actually a large snowflake hidden under the poinsettia…who knew?

Here’s what I used:
Paper:  Gina K. Pure Luxury Card Stock, Kanban and unknown textured gold card stock
Ink:  SU! Early Espresso
Stamps:  Verve Merry Wishes
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Sizzix Textured Impressions embossing folder 2 pk. Snowflake & Flourish, Xyron Create A Sticker, dimensionals

Back soon with more!
