Pearls, Lace and Butterflies

Time for another multi-challenge card.  Lisa’s Hope You Can Cling To Challenge is to use something you find in the air…my choice…butterflies.  This is also for the Color Challenge at Splitcoast using Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, Primrose Petals, the neutral of our choice…and for dessert…lace.  The layout is from Mojo Monday seen here:

As you can see, I chose to flip the sketch on its side.  My card made with a standard 4.25″ X 5.5″ card base in Very Vanilla.  It’s been lightly stamped with a gingham background stamp in Pretty In Pink and then the edges were heavily inked with Soft Suede.

On top of that is a rectangle of Soft Suede that’s been cut with the Verve Flourished Trim die, and topped with some designer paper that’s been distressed and inked.  Next is a rectangle of a solid coordinating paper, again distressed and inked.

The sentiment has been stamped on another die cut.  The edges have been inked and I’ved added a piece of lace.  Next, a banner of Soft Suede topped with more designer paper and again…inked.  The banner was made with a square punch. The butterfly has been stamped on more coordinating designer paper, die cut and the edges lightly inked.

Some buttons with embroidery thread, some pearl bling…and done!

Here’s what I used:
Paper:  SU! Very Vanilla and Soft Suede, and Glitz Pretty in Pink
Ink:  SU! Soft Suede and Pretty in Pink
Stamps:  Verve All Aflutter and Beautiful You; and Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card – Gingham
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Verve Flourished Trim A Cut Above die, Verve Sweet Scallop die, Verve All Aflutter A Cut Above die, 1 1/4″ square punch, Recollections Pearl bling, MFT buttons, embroidery thread, distressing tool, sponges, SU! lace, ATG

Back soon with more my friends!  Hope you are having a fantastic day!
