Lucky Coral Breezes Special Day

Over at Splitcoast we’re doing the Color Challenge Today. The colors are Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral and the neutrals of our choice. And, the dessert option of a decorative edge.

My card base is a standard A2 in SU Crumb Cake, followed by a cheater layer of black. Cheater layer you ask? Well it’s a piece of card stock that I’ve used for punches, die cuts etc. but happened to be big enough to edge my designer paper and since you don’t see everything cut out of it…a cheater layer. Saves on paper big time!

My designer paper had the three colors in it but I chose to add some sponging to deepen them. Then I used a doily die to make the next layer.

The focal point has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with markers and a blender pen. Then a little bit of Gelly Roll Stardust was added for some sparkle. This piece has been popped up on dimensionals for some added depth.

For embellishments some hand-dyed seam binding and a punched butterfly that’s had some glitter added to the wings. It’s a slightly deeper color than the seam binding but shows more pinky red in the picture for some reason???
