Hello Kitty!

It’s the Teapotter’s Challenge and the Color Challenge over at Splitcoast today. Our cards are headed to Jane and John. Sadly, John is suffering from Stage 4 cancer and Jane has some health issues too, so we’re sending them some love. And, I’ve used the MOJO214 sketch for the layout.

This card starts out with a standard A2 card base in Crumb Cake (Kraft). Next comes a layer of Cajun Craze, followed by a layer of designer paper that’s been sponged lightly with Tempting Turquoise.

Next comes a Spellbinder’s Lacy Circle in Cajun Craze topped by another piece of designer paper that’s been dry embossed and sponged with Tempting Turquoise. On top of that is a hand-cut banner that’s again designer paper layered over a Cajun Craze.

The focal point panel is cut with a Spellbinder’s Labels Three die. It’s an adorable digi stamp from Justinklined that has been colored with Copics. The sentiment was simply stamped to the right of the image. I didn’t want this panel layered over the next largest label…it was simply too big for the design. So, I traced the outline of the same size die and cut it out by hand.

The seam binding bow has been hand-dyed with Tempting Turquoise and then heat set. It’s topped with a die cut button (two layers). I’ve tied some linen thread through the top part of the button and popped it up on a dimensional over the bottom layer.

Paper: X-Press It Copic Blending paper, Stampin’ Up! Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake, and My Mind’s Eye Away We Go designer paper
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise, Memento Tuxedo Black
Image: King of Siam by Justinklined and unknown sentiment stamp
Accessories: Big Shot Pro; Spellbinder’s Lacy Circles, Buttons #5, Standard Circles, Labels Three dies; Sizzix Textured Impressions Flowers and Snowflakes Set; Snug Hug Seam Binding; craft sheet; gloves; sponges; linen thread; dimensionals; paper snips; Gelly Roll Stardust pen; and Copics: E40, E42, E44, W1, W3, and W5

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!
