Christmas cards are one of my favorite cards to design, so when we were given the colors in the color challenge today, that’s where I headed even though these are rather non-traditional colors for Christmas. Our challenge today – Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Baja Breeze. My Rich Razzleberry is obvious and if you look at the strip of designer paper behind the snowman panel you’ll see tones of both those colors.
This is a standard A2 card. The background panel has been stamped in Rich Razzleberry and matted in black before adhering it to the card base. The next panel has also been stamped in the same colors and snowflake stamps but it was matted with a slightly larger panel of black that’s been punched across the bottom.
The little snowman image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, then his scarf and little stars were colors with a blender pen and ink. Next, I added some Stickles to make him sparkle. The sentiment is a layered tag that’s also been stamped in Rich Razzleberry. Then I used a Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole in the top and tied some embroidery floss through the tag before attaching it to the card. A couple of little punched snowflakes, with punched centers in the Razzleberry were added as embellies. The center of each snowflake has also been painted with Stickles for a little more sparkle.
