This card is for several challenges over at Splitcoast – the Queen for the Day69 challenge honoring Karen, the F4A73 challenge to use twine and the Ways to Use It challenge WT331 – collage crazy.
I’ve used a standard A2 card base in Marina Mist, followed by a layer of Early Espresso that’s been dry embossed and distressed. Next comes a layer of Naturals card stock in Ivory that has also been distressed and stamped with a lot of different images – En Francais background stamp, the Texture jumbo wheel and images from the new Established Elegance set. In order to get an irregular shape stamped area with the En Francais bg stamp, I cut a small hole in a piece of card stock and then ripped the hole larger. By stamping over top of this you get an irregular image which looks really cool.
Next comes a piece of the new Well Worn Designer Series paper that’s been punched with the 2 3/8″ Scallop circle punch. It’s been spritzed with water and crumpled to age it. On top of that is a piece of Early Espresso that’s also been dry embossed, crumpled and torn. Then, I’ve used the new Textured Impressions Designer Frames Embossing Folders set in Crumb Cake. It’s also been stamped and pulled apart a bit to look aged. I stamped more images from the same set on a Mini Vintage tag and also used my Color Spritzer to add some aging on it. Then I pulled a piece of Early Espresso/White Baker’s Twine through it. I’ve used an antique brad and some crochet trim for embellishments.
